Tim Shorter
Tim Shorter has been an admitted solicitor for over 25 years and a Solicitor Advocate (Crime) for 10 years. He deals mainly with serious crime, regularly appearing as a defence Advocate in trials in the Crown Court as well as presenting cases in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). He has experience of Courts-Martial and also of the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal, where he has both prosecuted and defended. He thus has a wide experience of defence work in all types of crime, and keeps his feet on the ground by continuing to appear in the Magistrates’ Court and Police Stations for our own clients as well as being an accredited Duty Solicitor.
Tim also has good experience in commercial conveyancing, acting for several local organisations, varying from small property development companies to a regional hotel chain.
In his spare time, Tim works on his smallholding, does a bit of wood-turning and wants to get back to scuba-diving soon. In the meantime, dog-walking is a frequent source of exercise.
