If you are selling your home after 1st August 2007 you must provide a Home Information Pack (“HIP”) to your buyer. Presently, this is only for the sale of houses with 4 or more bedrooms. Houses with 3 or more qualify from 10th September 2007. Obligatory HIPs for properties with fewer than 3 bedrooms will be phased in gradually. The HIP must contain the information and documents your buyer will need about your property.

Until the end of 2007, sellers can market their properties as soon as they have commissioned a pack. We will be very happy to provide your pack, initially for the cost of the contents, with our own charges being included only at completion of the sale.
